
Victor Baranowski
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Victor Baranowski is a Partner at Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts LLP. He has been at the firm since 2009, and represents clients in all areas of intellectual property prosecution, litigation and licensing. Victor enjoys representing a wide range of clients including large and small corporations, startups and individuals. He is experienced in managing IP portfolios, securing licensing agreements, IP litigation and enforcement, and developing IP strategies for his clients.
Victor has experience litigating and managing patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation cases. He has successfully prepared and argued motions in Federal District Court. He has experience both defending and deposing witnesses and navigating through discovery on complex cases.
Victor has extensive experience with complex patent prosecution issues including patent reexaminations, reissue applications, USPTO patent appeals and federal circuit appeals.
Victor first began working in the field of intellectual property law while obtaining his Mechanical Engineering degree from Binghamton University. Upon graduating with honors from Binghamton University, Victor attended law school at University of Connecticut School of Law, during which time he spent both summers with Schmeiser, Olsen and Watts.
Victor is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Northern District of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
